Projects
Learn how to create and manage projects in Low Code Automation.
In Low Code Automation, the Projects feature allows you to create dedicated workspaces for your teams. This enables you to view only your team’s tests, test suites, and builds, improving organization and data segregation. With dedicated projects, it is easier to focus on team-specific tasks without interference from other teams. A team can have multiple projects.
Create a new project
- In Low Code Automation, click the Default project dropdown in the top-left corner.
- Select + Create new project.
- In the Create new project dialog, enter a unique name and description for the project.
- Click Create Project.
Once the project is created, you can start recording and automating tests within your new project.
To switch between projects, click the Default project dropdown in the top-left corner and select your desired project from the list. You can select from LCA PROJECTS and OTHER PROJECTS. The other projects section includes projects created outside of Low Code Automation in different products. Once you open one, it is added to LCA projects.
By default, all tests are created in the default project unless the user selects or creates a new project.
Points to remember
- When you open the Low Code Automation app, the default project view is available to all users.
- Global variables, secrets, modules, test datasets, and tags are specific to each project and cannot be accessed across projects.
- Tests, test suites, and builds belong to a specific project.
- Projects are common entities across all BrowserStack products.
