Troubleshoot common errors while uploading files

While uploading files to BrowserStack real devices using Live, you might see the following common errors:

• File upload fails due to file size
• File upload fails due to invalid file format
• File upload fails due to unspecified reason

File upload fails due to file size

When the size of the file you are trying to upload exceeds the supported file size, the file upload fails and the following error is displayed:
Upload failed! File size exceeds 15 MB.

Resolution/Workaround

1. Ensure that the size of the file you are uploading is not more than 15 MB.
2. Try uploading the file again.
   If the upload still fails, contact support.

File upload fails due to invalid file format

When the file you are trying to upload is not in the supported format, the file upload fails and an error is displayed.

Resolution/Workaround

1. Ensure that the file you are trying to upload is in the .csv, .doc, .docx, .pdf, .txt, .xls, or .xlsx format.
2. Try uploading the file again.
   If the upload still fails, contact support.

File upload fails due to unspecified reason

Your file upload fails due to unspecified reason and the following error is displayed:
File upload failed, please try again.

Resolution/Workaround

1. Check your internet connection.
2. Ensure that the file you are trying to upload is in the .csv, .doc, .docx, .pdf, .txt, .xls, or .xlsx format.
3. Ensure that the size of the file that you are uploading is not more than 15 MB.
   If you have completed steps 1 to 3 and your upload still fails, contact support.
