Troubleshoot file download errors

While downloading files from BrowserStack real devices using App Live, you may see the following common errors:

• File download fails due to file size
• File download fails as no file is available for download
• File download fails due to unspecified reason

File download fails due to file size

When the combined size of the files you are trying to download exceeds the supported file size, the download fails and the following error is displayed:
Download failed! File size exceeds 50 MB.

Resolution/Workaround

1. Ensure that the combined size of all the files you are trying to download is not more than 50 MB.
2. Try downloading the file/files again.
   If the download still fails, contact support.

File download fails as no file is available for download

File download fails as there is no file available for download, and the following message is displayed:
No file available to download.

Resolution/Workaround

1. Ensure that you have downloaded the file/files from your app to the BrowserStack real device.
2. Click Files & Media > File tab.
3. Click Download files from the Device > Download files.

File download fails due to unspecified reason

File download fails due to unspecified reason and the following error is displayed:
File download failed, please try again.

Resolution/Workaround

1. Check your internet connection.
2. Ensure that you have downloaded the file/files from your app to the BrowserStack real device.
3. Ensure that the combined size of all the files you are trying to download is not more than 50 MB.
   If you have completed steps 1 to 3 and your download still fails, contact support.
