Images assisted test

Identify accessibility issues related to the use of images in web content.

Users who rely on assistive technologies may have difficulty interacting with or consuming information presented through images. To ensure accessibility, it is essential that all images on your website include the appropriate accessibility attributes. The Images Assisted Test helps identify and validate these attributes, ensuring compliance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
The Images Assisted Test checks for the following accessibility properties:

  • Alt text
Verifies whether all simple images contain meaningful alt text.
  • Decorative images
Checks that decorative images include the role attribute and excludes them accordingly.
  • Informative images
Verifies that simple images do not have embedded information.
  • Complex images
Ensures that images conveying detailed information have both meaningful short and long alt text.
