Report bugs on Jira or Azure DevOps from BrowserStack Accessibility Testing
You can report bugs directly from BrowserStack Accessibility Testing on Jira and Azure with contextual information.
You can report bugs on Jira or Azure DevOps (ADO) without leaving BrowserStack Accessibility. To use this feature, first you need to integrate Jira or Azure DevOps with BrowserStack.
Integrate Jira with Accessibility Testing
Depending on your Jira instance type, choose the appropriate procedure for either:
Integrate Jira on cloud
To integrate Jira with Accessibility Testing on cloud:
- Sign in to BrowserStack Accessibility Testing.
- Hover the cursor over the profile icon on the top navigation bar, and select Integrations from the drop-down list.
- On the Integrations page, click Connect under the Jira Software logo.
- On the Sign-in to Jira prompt, enter your credentials, including your Atlassian Hostname (
https://<company-name>.atlassian.net
), Jira Email or Username, and API token or password. To generate an API token, click Get API Token. - Click Connect to my Jira account to integrate Jira with Accessibility Testing.
We recommend using an API token instead of a password.
Integrate Jira self hosted
Follow these steps to integrate Jira self hosted with Accessibility Testing.
-
In the left navigation bar of Accessibility Testing, click Integrations.
-
On the Integrations page, click Connect under the Jira Software logo.
-
Select Self Hosted from the dropdown menu.
- Click Continue with Jira.
-
Enter your Atlassian host URL and API token to complete the integration.

If you face the error “Create a project in your Jira in order to continue” while raising a Jira bug, disconnect Jira and connect it again using an API token instead of a password.
Metadata in Jira to aid in debugging
When you report a Jira bug, Accessibility Testing logs contextual Metadata to the Jira bug and makes debugging easier.
