Configure website scanner settings

Experimental rules are rules that are still under evaluation but are available for users to improve the accessibility of their websites. Enabling experimental rules in your scans allows BrowserStack to flag accessibility issues associated with these rules.

Enable experimental rules for website scans

To include experimental rules in your scan, switch on Include Experimental Rules in Settings.

BrowserStack continuously enhances the Accessibility rule engine by introducing new experimental rules. Your feedback is invaluable in refining and improving the effectiveness of these experimental rules.

Experimental rules may still undergo adjustments and optimizations based on user feedback and ongoing testing. To disable the use of experimental rules for your organization, you can contact us.

Configure visual scanner settings

After creating a scan, you can click the Visual scanner settings option to select the browsers, enable Compare with previous scan run option and other Advanced Options.

• Configure the diff sensitivity for your created project to customize the way visual changes appear in builds. For more information, see Diff sensitivity.

• Use Intelli Ignore feature to recognize and ignore tiny, unimportant changes on webpage images. For more information, see Intelli ignore.

Set Diff Ignore threshold

You can configure a diff ignore percentage threshold at the project level. This threshold represents the percentage of pixels that have changed. It ensures that only significant visual changes trigger alerts, while minor differences below the threshold are marked as unchanged, streamlining the review process and reducing false positives.
