Yes, You can install the current store version of your app on a device and then update the app by installing a higher version during the same test session.
iOS:
1. Install the current version of the app from the Apple App Store.
2. To test an update, install a higher version during the session using direct upload or an integration such as TestFlight, Firebase, or Applivery.
