Geo Region Restriction for App Performance

Control where your data resides with GRR.

Geo Region Restriction (GRR) gives you control over where your App Performance data is stored. If GRR is enabled for your account, your App Performance data will reside in the geographic region configured for your account. With GRR, you can ensure compliance with data residency regulations and your organization’s internal policies.

Data covered by GRR

GRR covers the App Performance data and logs recorded during every test session that you run. The data is stored within the region configured for your account and is inaccessible from other regions.

If you are using App Performance on App Live, the following data is covered:

  • Videos: The video of the test session.
  • Diagnostic logs: The diagnostic logs provided in the report that you can download for further debugging.
  • Performance metrics: All the performance metrics recorded during the session, such as battery usage, CPU usage, UI rendering performance, and more.
  • Network logs: The network logs that are recorded during the session.

The network logs are recorded only when the Network tab in the DevTools panel is enabled in your App Live session.

If you are using App Performance on App Automate, the following data is covered:

  • Videos: The video of the test session.
  • Diagnostic logs: The diagnostic logs provided in the report that you can download for further debugging.
  • Performance metrics: All the performance metrics recorded during the session, such as battery usage, CPU usage, UI rendering performance, and more.
